Guitar Hero: World Tour - Drum tuning app - USB MIDI

If you have just gone out and purchased the drum kit for "Guitar Hero: World Tour", the latest release in the Guitar Hero line. Then not doubt you have come across the issue of drum sensitivity. A lot of people are finding the drum and cymbal hits are not registering.

This issue has happened to me and after researching I discovered that by downloading a peice of software from "Activision, Red Octane and Neversoft" that will allow you to increase the drum sensitivity.

The sticky issue is, a USB to MIDI device is need to connect the drum machine to a PC (some support for MAC I think). You can see the 5pin MIDI plug on the back of the drum kit.

Apprantely Red Octane are shipping free USB to MIDI cables to anyone who purchased the drum kit. However, if you are in Australia like me, it doesn't seem like they will send you one. And who knows how long it will take to get here.

I did however find a USB MIDI cable listed on a website from an Australia seller that I can confirm is compatiable. The seller was friendly and offered me a full refund gurantee if it did not work for me. I can confirm it's a go'er! And the drum application works like a charm :-)

Those of you in need of the USB MIDI cable in Australia, I would recommened purchasing from this store: http://www.swamp.net.au/store/product.php?productid=1022&cat=0&page=1

Decent price, and you don't have to wait for it to come from China like most of the others listed on eBay. Enjoy you Guitar Hero: World Tour drum kit.
